Electrical / Plastic Recovery
The European “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive” (W.E.E.E) aims to encourage the recycling of all old electronic equipment – from small domestic hair-dryers, toasters and hand-tools to large, complex office computers and switchgear.
The metal content of W.E.E.E. material is typically under 30% by weight and in addition to the valuable metal, high grade plastic is recoverable. Guerney Recycling is able to recover all this material.
Guernsey Recycling offers a unique secure, total destruction route for both private and commercial disposers of old computers and other information sensitive electronic devices.
Equipped with the latest technology, Guernsey Recycling can not only achieve the total physical destruction of all the components in any metallic based electrical equipment, but also recover the valuable scrap metal and plastic from the destroyed items.
If required, own, independent supervision can be arranged for the security destruction of batch loads.

Demolition
Being fully trained in all aspects of metal recycling, the range of services offered by Guernsey Recycling include outside demolition work.
The company is equipped with its own transport and off-site processing equipment.

Vehicle Depollution
As part of the disposal contract for old cars (E.L.V’s), Guernsey Recycling has to de-pollute all the vehicles arriving on site, for oil and fuel contamination.
The latest European equipment allows this to be achieved in an effective way enabling the company to offer a de-pollution service, including hydraulic oil de-contamination, to industrial customers.
